Tasting the 2020 version. Light in the nose. Citrus. Not very gluey, is it Foursquare? In taste: yes. Very typical FS. Only 45% but pleasantly balanced. Caramel. Bit of pepper. Coffee. Not bad. Lacks the wow factor. But it's still pretty good.
This one was a disappointment because I had hoped this would be the best one in the batch of four. The nose is kind of Barbadian, but there is something breaking the experience, maybe sherry. A mix of fruits, spices, tobacco and a bit of oak/barrel. The palate lacks complexity and that is sad. Tannins and barrel are present and the entry is bitter sweet with vanilla and raisins. The finish is medium long with roasted chocolate, fruits and vanilla.
Un rum discreto con un carattere non troppo esuberante. Forse un po’ troppo leggero sia al naso che al palato. Il finale è cortino. Una bevuta sicuramente non impegnativa che si può fare anche mentre si sta sul divano a guardare una serie su netflix. Un buon prodotto anche per neofiti del rum.
Feels very young: basic Barbadian flavors, cocoa and coconut, but very light and too marked by the alcohol.
