06.03.2020 Met up with some colleagues to give a tasting at this old iconic place. Notes. Light in colour. Nose Round, light wood, glue, caramel, raisin, licorice. Palate Balanced, light wood, natural sweetness, peach, fruity, salty, raisin. Finish Medium long, fruity, light wood, light caramel, raisin.
The nose is carried on earthy-herbaceous notes. And we find licorice and anise. But not only, we also find raisins, woody and leather. The nose is complex and interesting with the arrival of menthol-olive. It is fresh and rather promising. On the palate, it's complex and very intriguing. There are tropical fruits that soften this woody more present than in the nose. But that's not all, far from it, we have spices, vanilla and pollen as Al Mansoif would say! The finish is warm and rather dry on the aniseed woody.
