Dies ist ein leichter, aber sehr schmackhafter Rum aus Equador, welcher für sein hohes Alter ein recht junges Geschmacksprofil behalten hat. Die Nase ist sehr schön zu verriechen und äußerst cremig. Ich habe viele Noten von Süßgebäck, aber auch fruchtige Anklänge. Es geht von Karamell, Vanille, Aprikose, Butterscotch, Birne und Mirabelle zu Holzig, pfefferig, nussig, Cappuccino und Backgewürzen. Am Gaumen ist er zuerst leicht und zurückhaltend. Karamell, Banane, Vanille, Butterscotch und Aprikose gehen bei einer filigranen Komplexität über zu Holz, Nüssen, Schokolade, pfefferiger Schärfe, Leder und Demerarazucker. Der kurze bis mittellange Abgang lebt von Eiche, Vanille, Schokolade, Nüssen und Sahnetoffee. Eine leichte Würze, junges Holz und blumige Akzente sind ebenfalls vorhanden. Es ist keine rekordverdächtige Abfüllung, aber für Fans von hellen und butterigen Aromen allemal einen Versuch wert.
Der Cuatro Leyendas hat eine süße, cremige Nase mit lieblichen Aromen von Vanille, Keksteig und Cachaça. Am Gaumen leicht holzig mit Aprikose, Butterscotch, Vanille und ganz subtilen Pfeffernoten. Für seine 35 Jahre hat er so gut wie keine Tiefe und ist viel zu filigran. Der Abgang ist kurz und dünn mit sehr leichten Noten von heller Eiche, Süßholz und leichten Kräutern.
