“Got a sample of this rum from RR Tasting Club some time ago. Compagnie des Indes Caraibes is a blend of rums from Guyana, Barbados and Trinidad. The color is quite pale and I haven’t found anything about aging, but I suppose it’s a quite young rum. I don’t recognize rum from Guyana or Barbados in the blend, so I suppose it’s mostly rum from Trinidad in the blend. Overall it’s too bland for my taste and nothing to write home about.”

“Un nez pâtissier avec du Grand Marnier avec un alcool présent mais pas envahissant. Une entrée de bouche discrète puis une belle montée en puissance mais ça retombe assez vite. Banane surmûre. Une finale plus longe que de CDI Latino. Un rhum marqué par l’orange ou plutôt le Grand Marnier.”

“A light entry-level blend, unfortunately sweetened. Citrus and flowery aromas I attribute to the Trinidad component, the slightly bitter note to Guyana. The Citrus is quite dominant, but not to the level of certain artificially flavored products.”
