31.12. 2019 Last tasting of 2019 went into 2020. Celebrating with family and friends who like rum we ended up having a great party according to my notes. Notes. Light to medium dark colour. Nose: fresh, wood, roasted, anise, light licorice, medicinal, dried fruit. Palate: oily, wood, roasted, light olive, plum, anise. Finish: medium long, wood, licorice, raisin.
It is delicious. Alcohol very well integrated, wait 20/30 minutes before tasting, for a good aeration. It's rich and complex. Super rum 😍
Nose: typical Port Mourant. Spicy-fruity, slightly sulfured dried apricot, waxy sweetness and fresh orange peel with vanilla. A bit of sour cherry and cardamom. Very pleasant, very nice.Palate: full-bodied and round, sweet-salty and spicy. Very clearly aniseed! Slightly woody, yet herbaceously fresh. There is also a little iodine here.Finish: slightly bitter, spicy-herbal and aniseedPalate and nose go well together. A beautiful and intense rum.
Raspberries in the long finish. Nice very nice.
