Sehr geile Nase mit viel Sherry-Assoziationen. Ziemlich speziell, gefällt mir aber hervorragend.
Epic Velier Caroni Tasting: Alkohol nicht so gut eingebunden, sehr süffig, Sherry-Noten, etwas schwach.
Yesterday we had a great evening in my friends man-cave. Lots of laughter and wonderful rums. A bit different from the heavy one indeed and a though a drop of water released more flavours I'd say be careful not to add too much water!
Epic Velier Caroni Tasting 2023: Very sweet, lots of sherry and paxarette influence. Heavy, almost oily sweetness of dried fruit, oak, vanilla and caramel, plus light minerality, slightly spicy-tart notes of allspice, coffee, chocolate and some minerality - the Caroni DNA is almost non-existent. As this is an LTR Caroni, none of this comes as a surprise. A very good rum, but it has little to do with Caroni in the classic or HTR sense.
