“Epic Velier Caroni Tasting 2023: Sehr süss, viel Sherry- bzw. Paxarette-Einfluss. Schwere, fast schon ölige Süsse von Trockenfrüchten, Eichenholz, Vanille und Karamell, dazu leichte Mineralik, leicht würzig-herbe Noten von Piment, Kaffee, Schokolade und etwas Mineralik - die Caroni-DNA ist nahezu inexistent. Da es sich um einen LTR-Caroni handelt, überrascht das alles nicht. Ein sehr guter Rum, aber mit Caroni im klassischen bzw. HTR-Sinne hat das wenig zu tun.”
