Tasted at SITS ‘25. The aroma is a straight ambush of menthol, thyme and everything fresh and cool in existence, chased by heavy cask notes, bresilliene nuts and orange skin gratings. There’s an interesting cameo of a clingwrap note as well as an ever so slight metallic taste, hate it or love it. In the mouth: peaches. Then spearmint and a hint of apple slices. Then barrel. Lots of barrel, with oak, vanilla, cinnamon and ginger tea. The experience is quite peppery and it stings the tongue quite a bit to the point of becoming spicy. The latter is not my favourite note, but playful and exciting here. The finish is long and cooling, with more spearmint, menthol, ginger tea and canned peach juice sweetness. A great bottling with certain (im)perfections and a not so great UVP.
