How does this rum taste?
Le Distillat Brut de Colonne by Bologne hits with prominent sugarcane, pepper, and that signature vegetal brightness you find in agricole rums. People talk about a distinct warmth and well-integrated high ABV—one calling it “un rhum très intégré sur la pêche blanche, la poire juteuse” (Tendero Pablo), while another notes it’s got “exceptional roundness for its high ABV” (Stefan Persson). Some catch a slight grain or maize note, but most agree it carries a bold, spicy profile with good length.

Bologne Le Distillat Brut de Colonne from Guadeloupe is made from red and black cane, distilled in the distillerys copper column and thereafter rested for 18 months and as for a Brut de Colonne then bottled without any reduction at 75,5%. Overall an Agricole that has an exceptional roundness for its high ABV.
Wisky Live 2023, quick tasting session! I really liked it, nice tasting once the palate had warmed up a bit, nice aromas!
I find the corn in the mouth and the classic framework of bologna
