This rum from Longueteau, that was in slot #11 in my 2025 Advent calendar, is a leap year release. It’s distilled in the distillerys creole column the 29th of February from cane harvested the 27th of February. After resting for 8 months in stainless steel vats it’s bottled in 2400 bottles. The nose is intense, fresh and round with scents of peppers and salt. At the palate it’s complex, aromatic, round, fruity and tangy with flavors of lime, red fruits and peppers. The finish is rather long with the flavors persisting.
