How does this rum taste?
RumX members highlight a fruity, ester-driven profile with woody spice—pineapple on the nose, banana and barrel tones on the palate. Several note good ABV balance for 64.1%, with chocolate and anise flashes and a long finish. While some find it rustic with slightly rough edges, the ex‑brandy cask character feels rounded. A limited South African release (381 bottles) that early reviewers are excited to explore.

#5733 27.09.2025 Day one of the Whisky Live 2025, which this year looks better organized/arranged inside. Yet another nice bottling they were hiding under the desk and you had to ask for :-) Also fruity, medium intense with nice wood and ABV balance. There are some nice chocolate and anise notes in the profile.
