#5793 29.09.2025 Day three of the Whisky Live 2025, which this year looks better organized/arranged inside. This is also a good rum at the current price tag. Well balanced with nice fruits, spice and light mint. The palate is light warm and dry.
Dégusté au WLP 2025. Un distillat pur jus de canne élevé sous bois (2 ans de fût ex-sherry). 👃 Canne toujours bien présente, fraîcheur mentholée, c'est encore assez solaire. Prédominance du fût ex-sherry ensuite, fruits secs, confiture de fruits, épices douces (cannelle, vanille), noix sèche dans leur coque, joli nez. 😋 Belle chaleur de l'alcool, sur un côté fruits à l'eau de vie (cerise, raisin). J'ai de la noix, de la tige, de la menthe légère. La canne se fait plus timide, au profit d'un voile caramélisé. Belle structure en bouche. 💡 Les ESB n'ont jamais été ma tasse de thé de part leurs caractéristiques propres, mais ici j'ai trouvé le "virage" plutôt bien fait grâce à l'apport du fût.
Bien réalisé mais pas ce que je préfère, n'étant pas fan de sherry.
