The bomb! While the nose is largely dominated by TDL fruit, with Caroni tar in the background, the palate gradually brings Jamaica to the front of the palate, with pineapple in particular. A good pinch of spice, a finish of fruit, menthol and intense spicy notes. The wood is quite well blended, almost masked by the power of the rest. A titanic vintage!
A real clash of the titans! A nose that battles hard between Jamaica and Trinidad, with aromas that range from roasted pineapple to blackcurrant and menthol, but with no clear winner, and a "dirty" or "carony" background. On the palate, a powerful attack quickly fades, giving way to the fruit on the nose. A herbaceous note is added on the palate, with a touch of empyreumatic complexity. The long finish remains soft and delicate, with menthol, bitter orange zest and elegant wood giving an insatiable desire to return. The basic juices make the price soar, but what a joy to have such a shock in a glass.
Just amazing
