- Complex flavor profile
- Versatile for sipping and mixing
- Affordable price
Añejo 15 Años is a Cuban rum distilled at the Mulata distillery using molasses and a column still, then aged for 15 years. With an ABV of 38%, it offers aromatic notes of vanilla, raisin, and caramel. The palate reveals flavors of caramelized sweetness, light vanilla, and dark chocolate, culminating in a medium finish that highlights oak and light tobacco. While appreciated for its complexity and affordability, some find its lower alcohol content limits depth. This versatile rum suits both sipping and mixing.

To Mulata
"Rum spagnolo con rapporto qualità prezzo invidiabile. Complesso con buone sfaccettature dove oltre alla vaniglia si avvertono fragranze di cioccolato, barile (molto marcato) e sigaro che gli donano un carattere più deciso. Un difetto è la sua volatilità sul palato (derivata forse da una bassa gradazione), ma compensa a sorpresa con un finale lungo grazie alla forte nota boscosa / fumosa . Alcune note profumate mi ricordano il rum Caroni. Voto aumentato dopo ultima degustazione. Sicuramente overproof sarebbe splendido!"
"Erstaunlich trockener, leichter Rum, Vanille, Wildhonig, Holz, unspektakulärer Einsteiger. Alkohol könnte geringfügig besser eingebunden sein. Bestimmt gut im Longdrink."
"Ein leichter Sipper für Einsteiger"
"This was the last one tested at the mixology and there was a huge span in the scoring due to individual "likes", which there should always be room for. The nose is sweet and fruity with oak, spice and caramel. The palate is light and sweet with fruit, oak, spice, caramel and light chocolate. The finish is medium long with oak, vanilla, chocolate and light tobacco. The empty glass has a very nice nose after and hour after finishing it. I'd probably use this rum for a mixer as well."
