It was distilled in 2007 from Molasses with a Pot Still and then aged for 16 years. The rum is bottled at cask strength and has an ABV of 66,5%. The rum smells like Woody, Dried fruit and Caramel, and on the palate there is Woody, Dried fruit and Creme Brulee.

Wie zu erwarten ein Klasse Rum. In der Nase neben Holz, Karamell und Gewürzen primär Trockenfrüchte, welche sich im Gaumen mit diversen tropischen Früchten vermischen und eine verrückte Kombination ergeben. Im Nachgang dann fast nur noch die tropischen Früchte. Echt ein geiler Umschwung bei diesem Rum! Alkohol erstklassig eingebunden
Good, but not outstanding Long Pond. Tasted together with the somewhat underrated Barikenn. For me, both are on a par in the end, with the Barikenn being a little rounder and more balanced and the Distilia a little more intense, with a licorice note that is a little too present for me. Overall, however, still very good.
Oh well, I'm really surprised! Super tropical matured Long Pond! I would not have expected that!
Wow was für einer schöner Long Pond mal wieder, auch wenn es schon spät in der Nacht war, ist dieser doch in Erinnerung geblieben. Alles was man sich erwartet und sogar noch ein bißchen mehr. Klare Empfehlung von mir.
