How does this rum taste?
RumX members highlight its bold cask-strength punch and spicy, woody profile, with naturally sweet dried-fruit notes and a warm finish. Aromas lean to varnish, citrus and faint smoke. Distilled in 2016 at West Indies (Barbados), aged 7 years and bottled at 65% as a 213-bottle single cask by Romdeluxe. Early reviews note it benefits from air but can feel young and alcohol-forward—best suited to lovers of intense, uncompromising rum.

Nose Light, alcoholic, light mint, light varnish, faint wood, light pineapple, light citrus, light perfume. Palate Warm, medium intense, naturally sweet, light spice, medium spicy, dried fruit, light floral, faint caramel, varnish, tannins,light wood. Finish Long and warm, spicy, medium intense light dry, naturally sweet, light caramel, tannins. Empty glass Tannins, sour, light mint, faint caramel, mill chocolate.
Nordlichter Treffen 07/25: Nase etwas sprittig, ich rieche Birne, Essig mit etwas Luft auch floralen Noten. Im Mund würzig und dann kräftig sprittig mit leicht scharfem Abgang. Holt mich nicht so sehr ab.

Nordlichter Treffen 19. Juli 2025 In der Nase jung, etwas alkoholisch, da passiert nicht viel. Im Mund alkoholisch, etwas scharf, ein bisschen Frucht. Kurzer Abgang Überzeugt mich nicht wirklich. Könnte noch ein paar Jahre oder vielleicht sogar ein finish vertragen
