Edit: tried it again at my leisure, it still didn't really convince me. From the first impression, this bottling didn't really pick me up at first. I think I have to try it again in peace, but it was also the last one I tried that evening/night. I'll give it another chance and then give it a rating.
Super funky, wacky and relatively young Grand Arome. Unusual aromas of juicy and slightly sour, fully ripe pineapple, kiwi and strawberry. Also BBQ aromas and red pepper, orange peel and schnapps pralines. Intense tannins and acidity on the finish, which probably comes from the cognac barrel. I really like it, only the alcohol could be slightly better integrated.
an explosion of flavour after the first sip, lots of exotic fruit, then it goes into dry woodiness, very nice spices in the finish.
30.7.2025 – Tasting after a long time :) Nose: Mainly lots of fruit, Woody, and vegetal Taste: Intense, spicy, hot, strawberry, vegetal, woody. Finish: Long, alcoholic, cognac, overripe fruit. The alcohol could be better integrated.
