How does this rum taste?
RumX members praise this 17-year Beenleigh for its crazy intensity, complex fruit and tea notes, and surprisingly well-integrated 72.1% ABV. Expect pear, mirabelle, dried fruits, eucalyptus and black tea over oak, burnt sugar and cacao. Dry, spicy, slightly herbal with a long, warm finish and a touch of bitterness that adds structure. Highly rated by 30+ reviewers, many calling the price-to-quality “more than fair.”

# 23.10.2025 A nice relaxing day with Fabian in a summehouse in Blåvand 🇩🇰 The nose is very well balanced thinking about the ABV. Fruity with light marzipan and faint wood and very light mint. The palate is well balanced with natural sweetness. Fruity with very light wood and dried fruit. The finish is medium to long and sweet with nice fruits and light caramel and marzipan. ABV is perfectly Integrated. Price to quality is wery good in my mind.
Pre-glow before the small Northern Lights tasting that is about to begin. 😉 Yes, I know, too early and too high alcohol content for the start. 🤭 But awesome! (Also in color) like a medicinal root essence from the deepest Australian bush. Let's see what the other northern lights have to say about it. I like it anyway.
An insanely complex and extraordinary intense "probably" Beenleigh! Awesome bottling! Pear, sour cherry, mirabelle plum and yellow stone fruit meet sweet and spicy bourbon cask, as well as eucalyptus, kumquat jam and mild white jasmine tea, plus cocoa, caramel candy and incense. The alcohol is incredibly well integrated and the price is really more than fair. Chapeau Stefan, I thought I had slowly experienced everything with 2007 Beenleighs, but with this highest alcohol content to date and this complexity, a new benchmark has probably been reached! 😄❣️
