Big Hampden 8 Marks Collection x CoR C<>H Cross Tasting: Much stronger cask influence than the comparison sample. Intense sherry notes on the nose
Nice dark colour. On the nose:Esther, fruity and little bit of wood. Sherry cask influence is present, but it doesnt dominate. High abv feels quite pleasant. Taste: Rich dark fruits, spices, dark chocolate. Alcohol is integrated perfectly. Ester feels mild. Sherry cask brings you rich fruity palate. Good body. Finish: Short finish. Dry and roasted, wood. Not much of fruits. Im not a huge fan of any type of sherry cask finishes in rums, because they quite often overtake the rum. This however delivered very rich and deep fruit flavours and i would enjoy sipping more of this neat. Not the best finish, but still very good quality rum
