How does this rum taste?

Distillery visit Hampden Estate September 2025. I bought this Greathouse 2025 locally, I guess a bit cheaper than in Germany. Not an outstanding Hampden, but still great with the typical notes such as esters and tropical fruits (pineapple and banana).
Erster Eindruck, ausführlicher Bericht folgt. Für mich geht die Kurve auf jedenfall nach dem Great House 2024 wieder nach oben. Aber an meine Lieblinge aus 2020 und 2021 kommt er leider nicht ran. Aber im MaiTai und mit Cola mehr als solide.
Hampden GH 2025 In May Tai, it already delivers a stable performance and for me is very high up among all the GHs released so far. Nose lots of ester nail polish and light menthol... Lots of fruit and well-integrated alcohol. Hardly surprising on the palate, but stable, fruity, spicy and less youthful than expected. What I particularly like is that it doesn't have the often heavy bitterness. All in all, no surprise but still solid and easy to drink.
Great House 2025: finally a very good bottling after the disappointments of recent years. Wonderful fruit esters with baked pineapple and marzipan on the nose. The palate initially has the same aromas, followed by young wood, some tannins and spice. The alcohol is perfectly integrated. The finish is of medium length and more on the medicinal, bitter side. All in all, a highly recommended bottling that offers that real Jamaica feeling.
