14.12.2019 A nice get together in a summerhouse with family and friends and rum for some of us. Notes Medium dark in colour. Nose Fresh, light, light wood, roasted, fruits, plum, cherry, light anise, faint coffee. Palate Balanced, complex, wood, roasted, oily, plum, light chocolate, cherry, light orange, anise, faint coffee, medium dry. Finish Medium to long, wood, roasted, medium dry, berried, light orange, faint chocolate. Extra note Very complex considering the low ABV.
Per la prima volta assaggio un rum invecchiato di questa distilleria! Ne ho sempre sentito parlare bene e ne ho avuto la conferma! Ricco intenso e speziato! Un altalena di sapori in bocca!!
Il colore è scurissimo, quasi nero. Al naso è pieno e avvolgente con note di legno, pelle pregiata, zucchero bruciato, vegetali/erbe/camomilla, pasticceria/crema, prugne, spezie fini, datteri, miele caldo e lieve tostatura, wow travolgente! Al palato è incisivo e denso con note vegetali dolci, prugne, datteri, caramello, floreali di fringipane, spezie (soprattutto pepe) e un legno leggero. Impasta la bocca e dimostra più gradi, il finale è medio lungo. Lascia un retrogusto secco e sugheroso con datteri. Differisce dal 2011 che ho trovato più buono, legnoso e di carattere. Nel bicchiere vuoto arrostito.
