"Brief evaluation and assessment of the Village'25. The successor to the HDGDL now as a Very High Ester Edition. From memory it already has more oomph. Alcohol is well integrated. For me, a little better than the first. Since I have to go over the old rating, I give it an 8.5. Not a unicorn but a rum at an extremely fair price of €50. Certainly a blast as a mixer. I like it and stand by it. Detailed analysis to follow."

"Der Name trifft es auf den Punkt. Bin Nase bis Abgang sind herrliche Esteraromen zu schmecken, wobei auch der Klebstoff im Vergleich zu anderen Rums recht präsent ist. Alkohol an der Grenze zum aufdringlich wirken, als Mixer dann aber sicher geeignet. PLV ist Klasse!"

"Der zweite HDGDL von FRC. Insgesamt fand ich den ersten runder und intensiver. Dieser hier ist aber auch genau das, was er sein soll: ein funky Jamaicaner zu einem fairen Preis. Der Alkohol könnte besser eingebunden sein. Ganz losgelöst vom Preis und eventuell als funky Begleiter im Cocktail schafft es dieser Rum nicht mich zu begeistern."

"Intensive Nase mit viel Funk und überreifen Früchten. Überraschend mild, der hohe Alkoholgehalt ist kaum spürbar. Am Gaumen jedoch deutlich ungestümer – kraftvolle Ester-Noten stehen im Vordergrund, während die Fruchtigkeit in den Hintergrund tritt. Mega PLV, zum Mixen Bombe!"
