Habe den Rum gut eine Stunde atmen lassen. Die Nase ist sehr fruchtig, es riecht nach Zitrusfrüchten, etwas Kumquat, auch Minze aber dezent. Recht süsse Assoziationen. Auch etwas Marmelade oder Shiashatabak und dezent rauchig. Im Mund sehr ähnlich. Passionsfrucht kommt noch dazu. Fasseinfluss ist nicht prägnant. Alkohol ist kraftvoll und irgendwie doch nicht, gut eingebunden für gegen 70%. Der Abgang ebenfalls stimmig, wenngleich etwas kurz. Ein guter Rum, mit einem für Trinidad-Verhältnisse recht geradliniger, fruchtiger Rum.
Am Anfang in der Nase und ein wenig in den Augen stechend durch den Alkohol, was zum Glück nach einer halben Stunde im Glas nicht mehr zu spüren war. Auf einen TDL hätte ich nicht gedacht - in Nase und Gaumen Schokolade, Holz und etwas Nuss, aber auch Tropische Früchte und gebrannter Zucker. Alkohol brennt etwas.
Spannender Rum. Fasseinfluss, leichte Zitrusnoten, Minze, Column Stil, leicht dreckige Noten. Alkohol gut eingebunden.
