How does this rum taste?
Reviewers are most impressed with the bold, balanced spice, especially nutmeg and cinnamon, alongside roasted coffee and chocolate notes. Many mention how the subtle sweetness and long aging result in a complex yet not overpoweringly woody profile, with flavors evolving from dark chocolate and candied fruits to gentle licorice. This 32-year-old Panama rum stands out as a sophisticated sipper that's both aromatic and approachable—worth a try for anyone exploring nuanced, mature rums.

In the nose chocolate, honey sweetness, nutmeg, maple syrup generally nice spiciness although restrained, little fruit some candied peach. In the mouth very oily consistency full pipe dark chocolate some coconut allspice and nutmeg pleasant sweetness. Virtually zero fruitiness ... Perhaps a little raisin but coated in chocolate. Some bitterness in the finish.
Very tasty 1992 Panama Vintage! Significantly better than its predecessor from Plantation, which was also much sweeter. The main aromas here are spicy hot cinnamon, banana peel, intensely fresh allspice and nutty tonka bean, as well as black pepper and strongly brewed coffee from the French press. Reminiscent of cinnamon biscuits with a good cup of coffee! Nice selection and above all not too sweet! Very tasty and well balanced! Unexpectedly delicious and super drinkable!
