The Rum Artesanal Barbados Rum MBFS is a limited release from the Foursquare distillery in Barbados. It was distilled in 2005 and aged for 13 years. It has an ABV of 60,2% and 309 bottles were released. The nose has notes of vanilla, wood, fruit (cherry, coconut, raisin), and caramel. On the palate it is full of spice and smokiness with a whiskey finish. With water it does not necessarily get better but the alcohol content is well integrated making it a great pleasure to drink. Cherry, caramel popcorn, and chocolate-covered coconut make this one of the best Foursquares on the market at a price of 50 UVP.

wow... RA zeigt Mal wieder wo der Hammer hängt... selten n Rum getrunken der so geil nach Bourbon schmeckt. dazu ist der Alkoholgehalt extrem gut eingebunden und ein absoluter Genuss. wird gekauft 🙏🏻🔥🤤 Kirsche, Karamell-Popcorn, und Schoko überzogene Kokosnuss...Hammer!😍 für mich einer der absolut besten Foursquares auf dem Markt, bin froh dass ich noch an ne 2. Flasche gekommen bin. und das zum Kurs von 50€ UVP. genial!

Sehr intensive Nase mit Vanille, viel Holz, Frucht (Kirsch, Kokosnuss, Rosine) und Karamell. Und dann trifft die volle Ladung Würze und rauchige Schärfe im Mund... zu stark für mich. Andere Noten sind natürlich noch auszumachen, gehen aber unter dem Gewürz unter. Mit etwas Wasser wird es nicht unbedingt besser. Das Whiskey-Finish ist sehr präsent. Die Nase gefällt mir deutlich besser.

Wow, der hat mich echt überrascht. Tolle Klebstoff-Note, die von einem Kokosnuss-Aroma umgeben wird. Oft finde ich Barbados ja nicht so spannend, aber Foursquare und gerade diese Abfüllungen bestätigen die Ausnahme von der Regel!
