How does this rum taste?
#4 Marie Galante is a limited release rum from Guadeloupe that captures an intriguing blend of marzipan, earthy sugarcane, rose, and caramel aromas. On the palate, notes of butterscotch, hay, and toffee mingle with a spirited kick. Our community of RumX members has shared diverse impressions – some admire the complex interplay of flavors and freshness from the raw sugarcane, while others note that the high alcohol presence can sometimes overshadow its subtler nuances. I can't really do anything with this bottling. I still find the nose with its fresh floral and honey-sweet aroma the most pleasant. On the palate, however, it loses me. Too alcoholic and one-dimensional. The aromas are only rudimentary. The finish is very short
Very alcoholic. It comes across like a fruit brandy. Not a good rum for me, but an unfinished product.
