Overall a soft, elegant and well balanced Agricole with significant aroma and taste of wood, spices and fruits. Had a glass of it after a better dinner at The Oyster Bar in Stockholm. It was distilled in 2002 from pure cane juice from the estates own harvests and aged in French oak barrels at the distillery for 15 years before bottled in 2017.
Wau. I think this will be enough to say or write. Great agricole rum, for me one of the best rum I have ever tasted. Aroma comes to me in three waves. First and strongest one is woody, than comes those two with combination of sweetness and fruits. But overall it is so gently it is perfect (at least for me). Taste again is woody and fruity with combination of some spices. But again it is so gently and those spices (pepper maybe) gives me very warmfull feel. Maybe I am wrong but finish offers sweet to honey flavor. Great…just great rum, if you ever have a chance to try it just do so.
Interesting nose and woody, alcohol present but lack of length very frustrating, very bland in the mouth, limit to water and wood I personally did not appreciate and remained on my end
