The Antigua Distillery English Harbour 90th Anniversary Release 2023
Most enjoy its soft, balanced wood–caramel–nut profile and easy sipping character. Critics find it too tame, short and pricey. Consensus: pleasant, well-made, but not particularly memorable.
Those building their palate who enjoy gentle, woody-sweet rums like Barbados or Belize styles and want an easy, low-stress sipper for relaxed evenings or social tastings.

Great smooth rum with a balanced flavor profile of wood, spices and nutty notes, which can be classified somewhere between Belize and Barbados, with the typical English Harbour signature. Even the rather low ABV fits well. I liked it very much.
Delicate, really delicate woody vanilla-nutty flavour with a bit of caramel, lots of spices, pepper in the finish. Sensationally, I feel that it would like more alcohol. I am surprised by the rather long finish despite the low percentage. I was also intrigued by the slightly cloudy colour.
Sehr harmonisch und ausgeglichen. Allerdings auch etwas schwach. Nur ganz leichte Pfeffernoten.Ich kann mir gut vorstellen, dass er eher etwas für den Sommer ist.
I agree with everything Chrischi78 wrote about this rum (and not because I have the sample he tasted 😉). Except that the rum has just the right amount of steam under the kettle. Nope, not enough for me. And that's why the rum doesn't break the 80-point barrier in my assessment. It's a really nice easy sipper, but I'm sure it would go through the roof in the ratings if it had noticeably more power.
