How does this rum taste?
The English Harbour 90th Anniversary Release from Antigua Distillery offers a delightful sensory journey. Distilled from molasses and aged 6 to 12 years, this rum reveals rich caramel and vanilla aromas complemented by woody, nutty, and spicy notes. Our community of rum enthusiasts loves its smooth, balanced profile that evokes Caribbean warmth and subtle complexity, though some feel the relatively low ABV makes it more of a summer sipper than a robust dram. The authentic opinions from RumX members highlight its harmonious blend while noting it could use a bit more punch. Overall, it’s a charming choice for those seeking a relaxed yet nuanced tasting experience.

I agree with everything Chrischi78 wrote about this rum (and not because I have the sample he tasted 😉). Except that the rum has just the right amount of steam under the kettle. Nope, not enough for me. And that's why the rum doesn't break the 80-point barrier in my assessment. It's a really nice easy sipper, but I'm sure it would go through the roof in the ratings if it had noticeably more power.
Messebewertung Village'25 Nürnberg Für mich leider kein wirkliches Highlight. Für den Preis der aufgerufen wird, kann man sicherlich was besseres haben. Trotz des niedrigen ABV denoch Überraschenderweise gut.
Great smooth rum with a balanced flavor profile of wood, spices and nutty notes, which can be classified somewhere between Belize and Barbados, with the typical English Harbour signature. Even the rather low ABV fits well. I liked it very much.
Delicate, really delicate woody vanilla-nutty flavour with a bit of caramel, lots of spices, pepper in the finish. Sensationally, I feel that it would like more alcohol. I am surprised by the rather long finish despite the low percentage. I was also intrigued by the slightly cloudy colour.
