Rich, fruity nose. Smokiness joins fruit and spice on the palate. The alcohol is well integrated. The finish is long and well-balanced. The freshness of the cane is present throughout.
Very good brut de colonne Guadeloupe from Montebello. That said, the real drawback of this rum is that the caroni cask is totally unnoticed... A real shame.
Great release from Nobilis: a Guadeloupean agricole aged in ex-Caroni casks. Despite the high ABV, the alcohol is well integrated. Nose shows tropical fruit, wood, and freshness; palate is minty, herbal, woody.
Beautiful, slightly aged brut de colonnes, but the caroni is nowhere to be seen.
