It was distilled from Sugar cane honey with a Pot Still and then aged for 20 years. The rum is bottled at cask strength and has an ABV of 51,4%. Sehr schöner und harmonischer Rum aus Equador. Tolle Würze, Karamell, Früchtebrot, Schokolade, Dörrpflaume und Vanille sind in der Nase. Am Gaumen kommt mit dem Karamell eine schöne Cremigkeit, welche dann in kandierte Früchte, Honig, Pflaumen und Früchtebrot übergeht. Hinzu kommen Gewürze, Schokolade, etwas Leder und geröstete Nüsse. Der Rum trinkt sich weich, da die 51,4% gut eingebunden sind. Der mittellange bis lange Abgang ist angenehm würzig und lebt von Trockenfrüchten, Karamell, Schokolade und gerösteten Nüssen. Fassnoten, Leder und Kaffee erweitern den Abgang, welcher ebenso komplex ist, wie Nase und Gaumen. Cremiger und leckerer Rum, den ich nur empfehlen kann.
