Australian Rums Tasting, Rum Club Switzerland. Un nez ample d’herbes sèches, de vanille, de bois de cèdre. L’alcool est parfaitement intégré. Une entrée de bouche douce, puis les mêmes arômes montent en puissance. Un effet que j’apprécie particulièrement. La finale est longue, sur les fruits secs et le bois de cèdre. La vanille est légère, mais tout à la fin le bois vanillé domine tout. Un beau rhum, complexe et généreux. Un petit côté sale lui donne une belle profondeur.
Well, how can you say. Its an average rum. Nice. Sweet. Some wood and stone fruits. Nice. טעימה מבחינתי היה אחד מהבחות טוביל שהיו בטעימה. מתוק. לא מורכב מידיי. דבש. יש שוקולד. קצת מלח. פירות כתומים יבשים כאלה. חמוד סך הכל.
Tasted at SITS’24 Classic Beenleigh profile on the nose with applecake, sugared peanuts and fresh dough. As is tradition from this IB: heavy cask influence with primarily charred wood and balsamic, seawind and hints of phenol. In the mouth even more concentrated on wood and cask spice. Opens sweet with cinnamon-apple crumble, nougat, hot coffee and buttered toast. Then less accessible with blackened wood, hints of plastic and an overdose of balsamic. The finish is quite short, uneventful, sugary and dry.
