How does this rum taste?
Most love its elegant yet intense Versailles profile, huge complexity and superb alcohol integration. Critics find it demanding, a bit dry or “bright”. Consensus: top‑tier, but no easy sipper.
If you enjoy focused, dry Demeraras like older Enmore/Versailles, this is a logical next step—huge complexity and great balance, as long as you’re ready to give it time in the glass.
Beginners, casual sweet-sipper drinkers, or anyone wanting an easy, fruity molasses rum; also not ideal if you dislike dry, slightly bitter, tannic profiles or need instant gratification.

A nice combination of different fruit notes Unfortunately lacks some color and wood flavor which would be normal for this age But otherwise highly recommended Find one of the best Guyana ever
I love these bright 90s Versailles fruit bombs. For me, the younger bottlings from OurRum&Spirits and Rum Artesanal are already enormously strong with 8.9, but the new RumClub is aromatically a league above - (I assume due to the significantly longer barrel maturation). The rum is very full-bodied and intense, you can almost chew it, incredibly smooth with perfectly integrated alcohol and an almost never-ending finish. An absolute highlight for me personally
I was very pleasantly surprised by the new bottling. I would have expected bitterness and a lot of wood due to its age. However, both on the nose and on the palate it is very elegant and rather fruity, pleasantly sweet, balanced, a hint of marzipan, nutty, yellow fruits and full-bodied, with a plum/raisin note, which is very subtle and even after the second glass I couldn't work out for myself whether it was plum or raisin. In any case, I like this note. The alcohol is sensationally integrated. An excellent bottling for me personally, if you have the opportunity, definitely try it.
Superbe!
