How does this rum taste?
Wild Series Rum No. 58 opens with a nose of round, smooth fruits, light orange, faint herbal and floral touches, underscored by caramel and anise. On the palate, many found it "smooth, balanced, oily, velvety" (@Kevin Sorensen), showcasing a precise blend of floral, orange, mint, and just a lick of chocolate. The finish is long, gently woody, and subtly vegetal, with a wisp of licorice. The high ABV is remarkably well-integrated—"erstaunlich gut eingebunden" as @Basti notes—making this an approachable cask-strength agricole that doesn’t overwhelm.

#4949 02.11.2024 Had a great tasting with Kim from Romdeluxe with both old and new releases. Nose Round, smooth, fruits, light orange, faint herbal, light floral, faint caramel, light anise. Palate Smooth, balanced, oily, velvety, light floral, light orange, faint mint, light anise, light wood, medium dry, faint chocolate. Finish Long, light wood, fruits, faint plum, light orange, faint licorice, medium dry, light vegetal. This is a very smooth bottling and I'm happy that I got my hands on it. Finished in Caroni casks shows up very gently in the profile without disturbing the overall profile.
That's even more horrible than Pep's ufo...and that's saying something ;).
