"Nose delicious. Explodes flavorfully in the mouth. Nice complexity. Alcohol not perfectly balanced and bordering on musty wood for me."

"Great intense spicy nose. Nutmeg and even some pear stand out. On the palate then really power. Ginger, spices, caramel. For a top rating, however, it is a tad too biting. Nevertheless, a great rum!"

"Another very nice rum we tried yesterday and I need to get one for my shelves. The nose is very nice and fruity with spices and it's there from the time you open the bottle. The palate is warm and sharp with alcohol, so I had to let it rest for a while before continuing. Some may want to add a drop or two of water. Less fruity than the nose but nice vanilla and barrel on top. The finish is long and warm with a nice mix of barrel, vanilla and raisin. "

"Typical Damoiseau profile. It is very good, but maybe not reduced enough, the spiciness is there, too bad."
