Tasted this Jamaican rum, from Worthy Park that’s chosen by S.B.S together with the Swedish Jamaica rum expert Kenth Eriksson, at the Stockholm Beer & Spirits Fair 2024. The nose is typical Jamaican, fruity and spicy with aromas of esters, vanilla, banana and mango. At the palate the fruitiness with banana and mango comes back as flavors together with oak from the barrel and of course the esters and vanilla.
Very nice and balanced nose, typical Jamaican but with subtle undertones of licorice and other spices. Quite woody but well integrated. Taste is nice but not as good as the nose. Medium-long finish with the longest lingering tastes being barrel and spices.
