This is a new limited release from the Swedish IB H.A.R.R.E.L. that I tasted at the Stockholm Beer & Spirits Fair 2024. This time they’ve done everything by themselves with molasses from Paraguay. It’s aged for 3 years partly in American new oak, Swedish oak and an ex-Sherry barrel before blended and bottled with a dosage of 10 gpl at 45%. They have successfully balanced the sweetness with the ABV. The nose is fruity, round and woody. At the palate it’s smooth, fruity, rather complex and very balanced with flavors of oak, saffron, cloves, cherries, licorice, vanilla, burnt sugar, red currant and bitter almonds.
