Planteray Spain (PX Cask Finish) 2012
Most enjoy the sweet PX sherry, dried fruit and nutty vanilla. Critics find it thin, woody and one‑dimensional. Consensus: drinkable, but an unspectacular single cask mainly for sherry fans.
Those who like sweeter, sherry-forward spirits and gentle 40–43% sippers, especially whisky or sherry drinkers curious about rum without funk or high alcohol burn.

Rather a disappointing Planteray from Spain from the year 2012. Tastes very much like sherry and also recognizable in the nose. Therefore also a little sweet which doesn't suit my taste. Also a little woody on the palate
Sweet, sherry, smoky wood notes. Not really my taste.
The smell doesn't impress too much. Some caramel, vanilla, cinnamon and dried fruit. In the taste I was probably most interested in a kind of whiskey in combination with the PX finish, which then carries over into the finish. A less sweet taste would have suited me better, but again, not a bad thing for me.
Lots of sherry. Fruit and vanilla
