How does this rum taste?
Planteray Jamaica (Ferrand Dry Curaçao Cask) brings together woody, tobacco, citrus and subtle nutty notes according to RumX members. The wood influence comes through strongly—Timo Groeger notes the nose is "eigentlich ausschließlich aus Holz." Smoothness is another highlight, with a user sharing, "Very smooth, love it." Hints of triple sec and tropical fruit show up, but as Johannes points out, there are also "leichte Bitternoten" and the question of what the Curaçao cask adds. The profile leans more dry and woody with light fruity accents, rather than sweetness.

Here we have a very nice planteray. For me, the nose is actually all wood. On the palate we also have a lot of wood, and I can also recognize some nut and some fruit. Nice rum.
Unfortunately no distillery is known. Goes in the direction of Worthy Park, perhaps also Clarendon. Slight bitter notes, some tropical fruit. The question is what came out of the curacao barrel.
Triple sec flavor attributes
On rocks: nose is citrus and oak taste - warm, rounded and very light on sweetness. Heavy on peat and oak
