Cubans are rather new territory for me, especially pure ... In Cuba it is already quite pleasing, pure is still pending. Edit: Chocolate, roasted nuts, some honey (peach 😲) and something woody - these are the key notes. Kind of flat for the age and the ABV... mmh not bad also somehow weak .
Mhhh, unfortunately it's nothing. The age and the bottle design give hope for something good. I don't get anything out of it, neither on the nose nor on the palate. The rest of the sample will be mixed as Cuba, maybe it's good there.
Today's test again features three different rums from Cuba. RX18127, RX21972 and RX14970. My conclusion is that the RX21972 is by far the clear loser. The other two are on the same level, but could not rise to the higher spheres for me. Tested neat and of course with lime, cola and ice.
Sweet, tangy, little flavor
