It was distilled in 2000 from Molasses with a Pot Still and then aged for 18 years. The rum has an ABV of 55,6%. Another older tasting. Fresh and fruity release with a nice floral note and roasted wood. Slightly dry on the palate. Made a not that the empty glass had some chocolate and coffee to it.
Nose: Subtle but pleasant nose. Spices predominate. Aniseed, vanilla, licorice, perhaps even herbs. Unidentifiable fruits mingle with it. Palate: Slightly peppery start, which quickly fades into the background in favor of vanilla and other spices. Pleasantly mild and dry. Finish: Spicy and slightly bitter. Conclusion: A rum from Barbados whose great strength is its balance. Pleasing on the nose and palate. However, complexity is sought in vain here. Easy sipping.
