6,2:On the nose, the first impression we get is pretty thin rum with faint tropical, citrus fruits, roasted wood with confectionery and metallic notes, alcoholic. On aeration, it gets a bit smoky, molasses brings grass, some spice is present. 7,3:On the palate, the attack is much more pleasant with tropical, citrus fruits and dried figs, roasted wood with confectionery and honey, spicy with vanilla, ginger and anise, as the molasses brings a bit musty vegetal, flowery, minty notes.Mostly balanced. 6,4:The finish is medium long, fruity and with dry, tannic wood, sweet with honey, thiner as on the palate, still with metallic touch, a bit earthy, grassy and strong yoghurt note after a while..
A Jamaica rum like I've probably never had in my glass before, judging by the key data. Tropical fruits, Holt and a full can of sugar juice and honey water, a little smoky, floral and subtly grassy. It's very pleasing, an easy sipper that leaves you wanting more sip after sip. Very interesting bottling, many thanks for the sample @BananaJoe
