How does this rum taste?
RumX members highlight its easygoing, balanced profile: light wood and caramel with dried fruit, a hint of smoke and fresh mint, plus a faint cherry note. Despite cask strength 53.4%, the alcohol is well integrated with a medium‑long, round finish. Seen as good value for a 12‑year TDL, it’s a solid choice for those exploring Trinidad’s lighter side. #4919 Whisky Live in Paris 27.09.2024-30.09.2024. Another great event meeting a lot of RumX new and old friends. This year three weren't as many new releases as in 2023, but I still had a great time. Nose Light wood, faint smoke, light caramel, driet fruit, light mint, round. Palate Round, balanced, light, light wood, light roasted, light mint, dried fruit, faint cherry, light caramel, spice. Finish Medium long, fresh, light, round, light dried fruit, faint cherry, light mint. Pretty OK release and the price is also good in my mind.
Hmm noo🤷🏼♂️ trinidad for the whole evening when I don't want to concentrate on what I'm drinking. Smells slightly alcoholic but nothing unpleasant. I don't smell anything distinctive, light wood and burning like when I smell pepper but I don't smell it. Mata nowhere. Dry, slightly caramel and fruity
It's part of the light tdl. I found it rounded with dry fruit, chocolate and light caramel. A bit of personality with hints of cherry, smoke/grit and a very light minty freshness. A good way to start discovering rum.
All the flavours are quite light. None of them really stands above others. Quite balanced, but could be more intense. Alcohol is well integrated Medium to long finish Not bad, but didn't fulfill the expectations
