I'm Oliver – together with Jakob, Robert, and Lukas, we started RumX in 2018 as a small passion project in Stuttgart, back then under the name Rum Tasting Notes.
What began as a digital tasting diary is now the world's most comprehensive platform for rum fans: over 24,000 bottlings, 250,000+ independent reviews, and an active community with 46,000 members. We combine the collective intelligence of our community with an integrated marketplace, allowing you to shop securely and manage your collection directly from the app.
The goal? To offer you, the rum connoisseur, a place where you can choose with confidence—without paperwork, detours, or expert jargon.
#4834 Whisky Live in Paris 27.09.2024-30.09.2024. Another great event meeting a lot of RumX new and old friends. This year three weren't as many new releases as in 2023, but I still had a great time. Nose Fresh, fruity, banana, faint mint, light earthy, faint caramel, cinnamon, faint glue. Palate Light spicy, fruity, overripe, banana, faint citrus, anise, faint rubber, faint glue, light olive. Finish Medium to long, warm, fruits, spice, light olive, faint lemon. Not too bad a release but would have loved a bit more umph in the profile, maybe a slightly higher ABV could have done it well.
Starter in the lineup and well chosen in my opinion. A bit sticky at the beginning, alcoholic nose, but not too present. Then, the classic Worthy Park is released at a leisurely pace. Green bananas and a little mint.
