Savanna Unshared Cask for France 2014
Most enjoy its complex dry fruits, Port‑driven cherry and “Savanna” wood. Critics note some monolithic, vegetal and slightly rough alcohol edges. Consensus: a characterful, well‑made agricole for seasoned drinkers.
Fans of dry, high‑proof agricoles who enjoy vegetal notes, red fruits and a slightly salty, olive‑brined edge, and Savanna followers looking for a Port‑finished twist.

How does this rum taste?
Dry, complex Savanna with Port twist
If you already like Savanna’s punchy agricoles or dry, wine‑influenced rums, this adds Port cherry and olive‑brined depth without sweetness, but it can feel austere and hot to newcomers.
Those sensitive to 59% ABV, expecting sweet, easy sippers, or who dislike vegetal, slightly varnishy or drier profiles in their rum.

#4925 Whisky Live in Paris 27.09.2024-30.09.2024. Another great event meeting a lot of RumX new and old friends. This year three weren't as many new releases as in 2023, but I still had a great time. Nose Medium intense, light wood, fruity, light berries, cherry, light vegetal, round. Palate Balanced, oily, round, light wood, light roasted, light spicy, pineapple, light cherry, medium dry, light berries. Finish Long and warm, light wood, light citrus, light strawberry, round, faint earthy, oily. This is a very good release and I had to try it a few times just because that is what you can do at the WL 😊
Whisky Live Paris 2024 (trade fair evaluation, only overall rating and personal recommendation to buy): Very tasty, I liked it very much. Would have liked a bottle of it.
Notes from Whisky Live Paris 2024 - to be reviewed. A good unshared, as is often the case with this series, a little dry perhaps, but with beautiful fruit all the same, and a "savannah" woodiness I'd say that always pleases me.
Assez monolithique, nez sur de la feuilles mouillés. Un poil assez vernis Finale sur la griotte une peu porté par l’accol. Integration de l’alcool moyenne.
