#4999 25.12.2024 Enjoying two good samples to celebrate tasting number 5000. Nose Wood, light roasted, balanced, faint tar, light rubber, light cherry, light menthol. Palate Round, wood, balanced, light tannins, dried fruit, faint tar, light rubber, smoke, light cherry, light spicy, petrol. Finish Very long and warm, light spicy, wood, light tannins, faint chocolate, light dried fruit, light petrol. The empty glass has a light sour note as well as light citrus and light menthol. Needs to rest for a good while to really settle properly. Draws really nice curtains in the glass.
Nose well marked by hydrocarbons. Beautiful burnt wood that has fallen into the water. Overcooked vanilla. Tropical fruit jammy in the pan. On the palate, garage oils, caramel, overcooked mango, slight menthol veil.
