An sich ein ganz netter Rum, nur der Alkohol könnte besser eingebunden sein. Auch eine gehörige Esterbombe, wobei hier die tropischen Früchte im Hintergrund stehen. Man kann nämlich sehr viel mehr Speck und Rauch erkennen hier.
A smoky aroma on the nose. Quite clear whisky notes on the palate, but also great high ester notes. I'm not really into whisky finishes, but with the high ester rums with the planned overripe fruit, it works to some extent.
Spannende Nase, die eigentlich genau das liefert, was man erwartet: Tropische Früchte Hampden, vor allem Ananas und dahinter etwas Rauch. Am Gaumen dann gerade umgekehrt: Sehr viel Rauch, der selbst die Hampden-Ester ziemlich unter Kontrolle hat. Ich bin ja meist kein Finish-Fan, aber wenn, dann vertragen es die fruchtigen Hampdens noch am ehesten. Hier finde ich das Finish allerdings doch zu dominant. Aber da das ganze vom oder für das Brühler Whiskyhaus gebottled wurde, bin ich mir sicher, dass der Rum seine Fans finden wird.
