#4932 Whisky Live in Paris 27.09.2024-30.09.2024. Another great event meeting a lot of RumX new and old friends. This year three weren't as many new releases as in 2023, but I still had a great time. Nose Medium intense, wood, faint roasted, light rubber, light tar, light cherry, faint mint, light citrus. Palate Balanced, round, wood, faint smoke, light dried fruit, faint mint, faint chocolate, light tar, light rubber, faint leather. Finish Long, balanced, smooth, wood, faint smoke, light tar, light rubber, faint mint, faint caramel. A very nice Caroni but the price tag is out of this world 😊

Epic Velier Caroni Tasting - Extra Time 2024: Powerful nose, with the intensity typical of the 1998 vintage. Varnish, petrol, tar on the dirty side, plus wood, dark spices and fruity notes reminiscent of ripe tropical fruit. Very subtle minty notes on the finish. The alcohol is well integrated, but the release remains somewhat scratchy and demanding. A very good representative of the 1998 vintage.
