How does this rum taste?

Bottled at 51.2% from cane juice at Neisson, this limited release (480 bottles) feels approachable yet characterful. #4938 Whisky Live in Paris 27.09.2024-30.09.2024. Another great event meeting a lot of RumX new and old friends. This year three weren't as many new releases as in 2023, but I still had a great time. Nose Light, round, balanced, sweet, light wood, faint roasted, fruits, light coconut, faint citrus, light vegetal, sugarcane. Palate Balanced, velvety, oily, sweet, faint wood, faint smoke, fruits, light coconut, sugarcane, faint vegetal, spice. Finish Medium to long, balanced, velvety, oily, sweet, light coconut, faint caramel, sugarcane, light vegetal. This is a very successful experiment with the Mizunara casks. Another rum I think most people can enjoy.

Die Nase lässt viel süße erwarten, fast schon toffee-artig und etwas Pfirsich Eistee und Kokos-Chips. Am Geschmack dann wiederum eher trocken, mineralisch, bitter, sehr pflanzlich,erdig und leicht rauchig, sowie eine ungewöhnliche Süße... Der Alkohol könnte etwas besser integriert sein. Insgesamt hatte ich mir aber auch hier mehr erwartet, insbesondere wegen dem mizunara Fass, welches hier aber nicht ganz so zur Geltung kommt wie ich erwartet hätte...
