"#4935 Whisky Live in Paris 27.09.2024-30.09.2024. Another great event meeting a lot of RumX new and old friends. This year three weren't as many new releases as in 2023, but I still had a great time. Nose Fresh, round, fruity, light wood, faint roasted, pineapple, light citrus, faint leather. Palate Fresh, round, light wood, light leather, faint rubber, overripe, banana, faint citrus, faint ginger. Finish Long and warm, light wood, medium dry, fruity, light pineapple, faint leather, faint rubber."
"Un Clarendon funky et bien costaud. Le mark MLC sâexprime dĂšs les premiers instants du nez avec la colle, le vernis de bois et les esters, mais aussi avec de beaux fruits exotiques sur lâananas, la banane et la mangue. On retrouve la pĂąte de chez Clarendon avec ce cĂŽtĂ© frais et herbacĂ©, un boisĂ© intense et lĂ©gĂšrement toastĂ© et des Ă©pices plutĂŽt vives. Le profil est variĂ© et Ă©quilibrĂ©. Lâattaque en bouche est plutĂŽt pĂȘchue pour le degrĂ© dâalcool. Le cĂŽtĂ© astringent et mĂ©dicinal prend le dessus, puis le boisĂ© rĂŽti et Ă©picĂ© vient avec une subtile note de chocolat noir avant de laisser filer des notes herbacĂ©es. On ressent Ă©galement les effluves de fruits secs et tropicaux qui apportent de la gourmandise. Un profil relativement puissant pour son degrĂ© dâalcool, pas dĂ©sagrĂ©able mais plutĂŽt intense. La finale est longue, marquĂ©e par les tonalitĂ©s fruitĂ©es (banane, ananas), herbacĂ©es et florales. Du tabac, des esters, des notes Ă©picĂ©es et de bois rĂŽti viennent corser la finale dĂ©jĂ bien astringente et sĂšche. Un profil complexe Ă mi-chemin entre le funk et le vieux rhum dâexpĂ©rience, pas le plus Ă©vident Ă boire mais il offre une belle expĂ©rience globale. Le prix est quelque peu discutable, mais il est peu probable que lâon descende en-dessous pour un rhum de ce compte dâĂąge, ce millĂ©sime et ce mark."

"Birne kiwi und Papaya treffen an der Nase aufeinander. Dazu kommt am Gaumen ein fast schon kreide-artiges MundgefĂŒhl, pelzig und adstringierend, sowie leicht medizinisch. Erinnert an Kampfer, Gummi, Menthol und Ingwer-Tee, zusammen mit diversen ĂŒberreifen FrĂŒchten. Extrem frisch im Abgang und vollmundig. Trifft nicht unbedingt meinen Geschmack, ist aber dennoch gut gemacht und hat ein relativ hohes Niveau. WĂ€re sicher auch spannend in FassstĂ€rke gewesen, anderseits kommen die Aromen so genau auf den Punkt."
