#5444 03.07.2025 Relaxing with a few samples while listening to some nice new Trance tracks. Nose Medium intense, ester, faint smoke, fruity, overripe, faint nougat, light vegetal, light sour. Palate Round, medium intense, ester, fruity, overripe, banana, light anise, faint caramel, faint floral. Finish Long and warm, ester, light citrus, light anise, light vegetal. Empty glass Light floral, light licorice, faint smoke, vanilla, light chocolate.
Unaged <>H with ABV >60%: what could possibly go wrong? Long story short: nothing. Exactly as expected this is very nice stuff. Funky and fruity on the nose. From memory a bit less lively vs. the 8 Marks bottling but memory might trick me here, as this seems to be the same juice. Powerful on the palate with nice creamy texture. Bonus points for the parrot labels (which have been created using old drawings) and the high level of information on the rum and the respective parrots (on the back label). Price-wise a bit steep, but it is what it is ;)
