This Longueteau Blanc from the Esperance distillery in Guadeloupe is the first release from the distillery that’s made from sugarcane from a specific plot. On this plot, No 1, they grow Red cane. The plot bathing in sunlight and is therefore not very humid which makes the rum from there rather powerful. The nose is round, fresh and floral with scents of sugarcane, citrus, salt and peanuts. At the palate it’s extremely round and smooth but also sweet with flavors of sugarcane, citrus, salt and peanuts. The finish is medium long and floral with flavors of sugarcane and citrus.
